On June 28, 1977, The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada AFL-CIO bestowed upon Local Union No. 9 the obligation to uphold all branches of the plumbing and pipefitting industry in the following territories located throughout Mid-Jersey:
